My name is Marcy McChesney. I live in San Antonio, Texas.

My artwork is an exploration into current issues in
relation to the application to the art world. I utilize popular
images pertaining to media and consumption, often dissected
and combined with classical or traditional images. The
various objects used become design elements, chosen for
color, pattern, etc. rather than for their originally intended use.

My hope is to create images that are intriguing visually
as well as conceptually to the viewer.

I've been chosen to participate in this year's Luminaria Arts Night in San Antonio, which is Saturday, March 13th.
